When the movie Wall Street came out there was no one (on the real Wall Street) who acted at all like that. The film actually inspired it; as people saw it and a new breed of yuppies came in thinking that’s how it was and then that’s what it became. 
Same thing happened with the Godfather and Italian American gangsters (they adopted a lot of their code and shit from movies not the other way round)
that code then became an integral part of the GOAT formula and Pacs thug image which when adapted by all the other rappers even youth began emulating.
An insane amount of the technology we enjoy today is a result of people being inspired by the ideas of scifi writers.
People ignore science and reason’s conclusions that we are altruistic if left to our own devices because they saw dystopian movies (despite the catalyst for most those actually being the attempted creation of utopia by force by government). Beverly Hills 90210 spawned those type of kids just like newer shows did.
Art is taken as life and emulated because it is often the only access many people have to lives that are different . But what about the ones not emulated but hated?
female archetypes , black archetypes dumb American archetypes and all the stereotypes I’ve never found in reality only on TV? I’ve seen them acted out in both reality TV and the real real world. But it is an act. Chicks play dumb bimbette cause they actually believe anyone but weak idiots find that attractive (didn’t say all women are rocket scientists, just we don’t generally hate on each other for no reason or act like Mean Girls characters . we are neurologically more empathetic and also biologically nurturing. That is women as depicted by men , who by nature are competitive for women so assumed women the same but reverse as we all tend to see the world as we are not as it is… or sometimes as TV is not as it is) I have also seen many emcees play that stereotype but none who are like that. no one is that one dimensional. outside of the imaginations of the ignorant. Or; do you think those ones not adopted by people, but portrayed as the only image some have of other people have no impact on how we relate to one another?
Either way watch what you put out there artists, cause you could be scripting the future .
